The website -- hits and misses
What is this Kelp! monthly website? the webiste here is a reflection of creative energy trying to represent my music but often it gets caught up in its own wanting to be something special and then it falls into a pool of its own reflection just like Greek Myth predicts. Would anyone give feedback here of any navigational problems with the Kelp! monthly website : "kelpmonthly" at fastmail dot "fm" . On the eve of 11/5/06 this: hi friends, and confused as well about such matters, Karl answers thusly: Hi xoxo, this is Karl.
The Physical Make-upHere are some drawings of the standardized Kelp!'s of on beyond January 2007. They are going to be very beautiful and yet not so daunting for me folding-and-cutting-wise. Here is a depiction of the cover drawn in 3-D but folded out 240 degrees for some reason.
And here is the paper that will be individualized printed on one side: This card is about five inches square. It will have the Kelp! logo and seasonal woodcut(may or may not be a seal)--both standard--and the specific title and issue # can be changed for individuality:
The inside of the new packaging. Also, the clear plastic casing is a 11"x8 1/2" transparency folded in half the long way and carefully sewn around 2 sides.
Kelp! Monthly Releasing Corporation started over two years ago as a vehicle for singer/artist Karl Blau to share his production talents and the overflowing cup that is his musical community. Kelp! Monthly is a subscription service that sends hand packaged CDs produced by Karl Blau often of Blau's own material always of a unique quality to your mailbox each month*.(We're assuming that since you've got this far you know of Karl Blau, but if you need more context click here). What's happening is a very diverse collection of sounds and songs auto-biographical of Blau's love for the recording and production medium. For a sense of the diversity, please peruse the descriptions of Kelp! releases and enjoy the many songs hosted on this site. Hand-made packaging--Each issue and back issue package is hand crafted, generally origamied screen printed covers and inserts unique to Kelp! done by Blau's own hands mostly. Any questions you have feel free to contact Kelp! monthly by electronic mail to 'kelpmonthly' at 'fastmail' dot 'fm'. KELP! monthly
